Oysters come from the Atlantic, or so I thought. It seems that more and more are coming from the New York area and in particular Long Island. Boutique growers are fianlly getting a handle on the not so simple art of oyster farming. Details here OYSTERS ON US
****Enjoy a nice bottle of Riesling from Alsace which is bone dry and a suitable complement for oysters.
