Taking a trip soon? Maybe these tips can help.
- Leave your passport at home, on purpose! Avoid the hassles of customs and immigration lines by traveling to places in the U.S. or to islands where no U.S. passport is required for travel between the United States and the Island!
- Now airlines are requiring that we pay for our baggage. So try to pack light and take only what you need. Remember to pack your favorite bathing suit, pair of shorts and sandals.
- Pack all your liquids and gels in a one-quart sized plastic bag, all in 3 ounce containers or smaller. U.S. Federal regulations do not allow anything more than that onboard the airplane.
- Don’t forget to pack bug repellent for your adventure, especially if you’ll be visiting a rainforest.
- Book with a repretable travel agent. They have the inside track and if you book well enough in advance, you could possibly save a few bucks.
- Bring plenty of sunscreen if you’re planning to go to the beach or any outdoor attractions.
- Bring your favorite MP3 player and make sure to download some podcasts before leaving home. Just in case you have a long lay over or some other unexpected occurance. It should make the time go by faster.
- Take advantage of airlines’ online check-in to get you some extra sleep-in time before heading to the airport.
- Make sure to bring your credit cards, travelors checks or cash for all the shopping you’ll do on your vacation.
- Be sure to wear shoes that you can easily take off during the security checkpoints at the airport
